No formal application needed. Send an email to Chase with a few sentences about yourself, your experience, and why you want to work at Home & Grounds. Attach a resume if you have one — if not, a brief introduction works just as well.
We respond to every application — even if the timing isn't right, we'll keep your info on file and reach out when we have an opening that fits.
I started Home & Grounds because I'd seen too many outdoor living companies treat their crews like a commodity — low pay, no respect, no investment in their growth. That's not how we operate. Every person on our team is here because they're genuinely skilled at what they do and they care about doing it right. We treat them accordingly.
If you're the kind of person who notices the details other people miss — who takes pride in a perfectly set paver, a flawlessly built fire feature, or a retaining wall that's engineered to last — you'll fit right in here. We don't cut corners, and we don't hire people who do.
We're growing, and we're looking for people who want to grow with us. If that's you, reach out. I personally review every application.
— Chase, Founder · Home & Grounds

We use premium materials, take our time, and build things that last. There's no pressure to rush at the expense of quality here. When you drive past a project you worked on, you should feel proud — and on this team, you will.

You'll know what's going on, be treated like a professional, and be heard when you have input. We don't micromanage skilled people — we hire them and trust them to do their job well. That's the culture Chase built from day one.

Home & Grounds is growing — and that creates real opportunity for the people who grow with it. If you're reliable, skilled, and invested in doing great work, there's a long-term future here for you.

You care how it looks when it's done. You notice the details other people walk past. You'd rather take an extra few minutes to get something right than leave it "good enough."

You show up when you say you will, do what you say you'll do, and communicate when something changes. On a small team, reliability isn't a nice-to-have — it's everything.

You're not just here to clock in and clock out. You care about the project, the client, and the people working alongside you. A rising tide lifts all boats — and we take that seriously.

Experience in hardscaping, masonry, landscaping, patio installation, or outdoor construction is a strong advantage. We're willing to train the right person, but field experience means a faster start.

This is hands-on outdoor work in Minnesota — which means summer heat, early mornings, and physical labor. You're comfortable in those conditions and you bring energy to the job site.

Outdoor builds can be challenging. Weather changes, timelines shift, problems need creative solutions. We want people who face those moments with a clear head and a can-do approach.
We pay competitive wages that reflect your skill level and experience. We believe quality people deserve quality compensation — and we back that up.
You'll work with the right tools for the job — well-maintained, professional-grade equipment that makes your work easier and your results better.
We keep our team busy. We manage our project pipeline so our crew has consistent, steady work — not the feast-or-famine cycle that's common in this industry.
We invest in training and skill development for our team. Whether you're deepening existing expertise or learning something new, we support your growth.
We're a small team — which means you matter, your voice is heard, and your work has real impact. You're not a number here.
Every project we build is something worth pointing at. You'll go home every day knowing you built something real, lasting, and genuinely impressive.
